ACETO OBTAINS A&C

April 1, 2021, Port Washington, New York— Today, Aceto, a leading global supplier of specialty materials for the life sciences and advanced technology end markets, announced that it has acquired A&C, a global manufacturer of specialty excipients, buffers, and process solutions under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). The acquisition supports Aceto’s growth strategy by broadening its presence in North America and improving its GMP manufacturing, packaging, and ingredient offerings for the biopharmaceutical, vaccine, and cell culture industries.

A&C uses GMP custom ingredient development, manufacturing, and packaging in the life science industry to meet the technical, product, and regulatory needs of its customers. With the addition of A&C, Aceto can now offer its clients improved support during the entire drug development process in addition to increased access to vital raw materials and excipients used in the synthesis of biologics.

“With the acquisition of A&C, Aceto’s self-manufactured and custom product offerings in the vaccine and biopharmaceutical space have materially expanded,” said CEO Gilles Cottier. “With the help of all of our recent acquisitions, including Syntor and IsleChem, Aceto is now able to provide customers with a wide range of the best products and services at competitive prices, helping them secure and optimize critical supply as well as launch new products onto the global market.”

“A&C is a service-driven organization with a mission of finding unique solutions to customers’ GMP challenges and supporting them through all stages of the development cycle,” states Ken McCracken, President & CEO of the company. Aceto’s customer-focused service approach and value proposition align perfectly with our core business strategy. We are thrilled to offer our clients an integrated, unique range of products.

Aceto will continue to support A&C’s US, Canadian, and Irish offices and production facilities. The conditions of payment were not revealed.
